Photographer Lalage Snow has a solid military background. She was born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, while her father Martin Snow (Commander of Invalids at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea) was commanding Left Flank, Scots Guards, in North Belfast. Her brother was also commissioned into the Scots Guards in 1997. She has worked in Gaza, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Bangladesh, Argentina and Jordan. And, as this collection shows, she has kept a close eye on the Scots Guards over a 12-month period. This gallery contains a selection of images from her book,
Full Deployment: a year in the life of the Scots Guards. It is published by Menin House, an imprint of Tommies Guides (price £39.95, hardback).
