Poppy People recruitment campaign hits right notes

Classical singer and staunch Poppy Appeal supporter, Hayley Westenra, visited London’s Leadenhall Market to help launch the Royal British Legion’s Poppy People recruitment drive. After launching last year’s Poppy Appeal in Basra, Iraq, she admits her experience there has led her to become more involved. She said: “I think that once you’ve been out there and met the young men and women serving, it’s impossible to turn your back on them.”
