First Shots – Early War Photography 1848-60

Some of the first images ever taken of war, shot in the 1800s by pioneer photographers John McCosh, Roger Fenton, James Robertson and Felice Beato, will be displayed in the National Army Museum’s White Space Gallery from 2 September. Scroll through here for a sneak preview of the photographs.
