Poppy Travel has launched its 2008 programme, which offers a variety of brand new experiences. Highlights include:

Marking the 90th anniversary of the end of WWI – an exciting series of tours and events

Commemorating the 65th anniversary of events in 1943 from Egypt to Italy

Celebrating 100 years since the founding of the Territorial Army – explore the first actions by the TA in Flanders in 1914.
Pilgrimages next year will include two special World War I commemorations:
Other new WWI pilgrimages include a new two-day trip to visit cemeteries and memorials in the channel ports and Cambrai/Arras area, as well as the first ever tour to Thessalonica (Salonika) in Greece.
There will be 65th anniversary pilgrimages to Sicily, Tunisia and southern Italy. Other tour themes and destinations include: the story of the V2 rockets from Peenemunde to London; the Dambusters raids over Germany; the 65th anniversary of the Chindit raid in Burma; and the battles of Imphal and Kohima.

Trips to the sites of the air war fought over France and Flanders – to mark the 90th anniversary of the RAF

Tanzania – scene of fierce fighting in East Africa.
Other tours will include Italy, a Falklands walking tour, a 60th anniversary tour to Belize to commemorate the deployment of British troops to the region; a Cold War tour to north Germany.
