Who receives Legion magazine?
Legion is the official magazine of The Royal British Legion, and it is sent out free to all Legion members as part of their annual subscription.

How often is Legion published?
The magazine itself is quarterly. In addition, a news magazine, Legion Extra, is sent out between each issue. In total, Legion members will receive eight publications through the post each year.

Can I receive Legion if I am not a member?
Yes, the subscription rate for non-members is £20 per year. To find out more, click here. However, the magazine is sent out to all members for free as part of their £11 annual subscription. For more about Legion membership, click here.

I am a member of the Women’s Section, but I don’t get a magazine. Why?
The Women’s Section annual subscription does not cover the magazine. However, it is available to all Women’s Section members for the discounted rate of £3 per year. To find out more, click here .

Why can I not access the Legion Connect part of the site?
To access Legion Connect, you first need to fill out the online sign-in form on the homepage. Once you have logged your details and have a password, you should be able to access the website.

What happens if I forget my password or username?
If you can't remember your login details, we can resend them to you by email. Simply follow the links on the Legion Connect login page.

Who manages the Legion website?
The site is managed by Redactive Publishing, which also publishes the magazine on behalf of The Royal British Legion. Redactive’s contact details can be found in the Contact us section of the website.

Why is there no Lost Trails section on the magazine’s website?
We haven’t included an online version of Lost Trails, as there is already a successful Lost Trails section on The Royal British Legion’s website. You can, however, find a guide to tracing lost trails in our Downloads section.

I posted my Lost Trails submission to you a while back, but have not yet seen it in the magazine. When will it be published?
Lost Trails is one of the magazine’s most popular sections, and there is currently a two-year long waiting list for all submissions. If you sent in your submission more than two years ago, please contact us, and we will investigate.

How can I submit an article for publication?
Legion is always happy to receive contributions, ideas and suggestions from its readers. Submissions can either be sent by post to Legion magazine, Redactive Publishing Ltd, 17 Britton Street, London EC1M 5TP, or by email to editorial@legion-magazine.co.uk.
However, please bear in mind that Legion receives far more entries than the available space can accommodate, therefore we can’t guarantee any item will be published.
The print magazine’s format also means we are unable to include sections for poetry or obituaries. However, we do have online space for poetry and other artistic endeavours - visit our Creative Corner for details on how to submit a poem, song, artwork or piece of writing. You will need to sign up to Legion Connect in order to access Creative Corner.

How can I advertise in the magazine?
Click here to download a copy of our media pack, or call Legion's Senior Sales Executive, Chris Dooley, on 020 7880 7661.

Regional Focus is no longer in the magazine. Why not?
A few months ago, it was decided to move the Regional Focus section from the main magazine into Legion Extra. This was so we could offer each region greater coverage – the section has been expanded to four pages.

A member of my branch is partially sighted and can’t read the magazine. Is it available in large print?
There is no large print version of the magazine, although it is available in cassette format for the blind and partially sighted. To be added to the mailing list, you need to call 020 7880 6210 or email editorial@legion-magazine.co.uk with your details. You will also need to contact Membership Services on 020 7973 7208 and tell them that you no longer need the magazine in print format.
